One of the basic principles we've followed in designing this website is that we
ask for only the information we need to provide the service you've requested.
As a result, the answer to this question depends almost entirely on how you
choose to make use of our website and our growing list of website services.
Currently, website customers provide information in order to take advantage of
the following services:

Brochure Requests. We need a name and an address to send the brochure
to. Plus a contact phone number or e-mail address in case the address we
received is wrong.

Property Rentals. Name, address, home phone, work phone, e-mail and
credit-card information are necessary for renting a property.
Your name and other information are kept in-house. If you request a brochure or
rent a property from us we will not exhange your name and information with
other companies. |

| "How do you keep track of me as
I move through the website?" |

Our property selection process and the property booking process spans more than
one page. We have come up with a way to keep track of user requests and session
information across multiple pages.
Dale E. Peterson Vacations uses what is called a unique "session ID". The
"session ID" contains absolutely no information about you. It is completely
unique to each user session, and changes each time a new user session is
created. The sole purpose is to enable us to keep track of your stay
criteria(dates, nights, etc.) and reservation information as you select
properties, check availability and reserve a property. The implementation of
this method is done through placing a "cookie" in your web browser which
enables us to match up the session ID on our server with the one in your
browser. This is a standard method that most dynamic sites employ.

Yes. At this time we do use cookies. Any tracking we do while you are within
our site is done through the ID system mentioned above.

We read every message that comes to us. We also try to respond back within at
least 24 hours of its receipt. We never sell or give out e-mail addresses to
anyone. At Dale E. Peterson Vacations we save messages and/or e-mail addresses
only for a few specific reasons. We save messages if we think we'll need to
refer to them later when we communicate with the customer. We keep e-mail
addresses on file for occasional notices from us about helpful new features and
properties on the site (the recipient can choose to not receive such notices).
And we save e-mail addresses provided when renting a property. In this case we
only use the e-mail to verify your online reservation in case we are having
trouble reaching you through the phone numbers you provided. |
